These ogres are really shaping up nicely - I really like the ogre models, they've got great character and the detail is superb... I think these models are a lot more fun than the lead Orgyrns... Anyhow, I've been busy adapting and adopting these ogres into the army. I'll be molding out some of the rougher 'warhammer' edges (pointy shoes for one!) with greenstuff and of course filling in their bellies.

They definitely need to look 40K. They're still a bit 'rough' if you know what I mean. I think some Che Guevara looking mo fo's would be good. Maybe some large backpacks and padded knee pads. Maybe some eletronic items, radios, cigars etc. Maybe we could model a six pack on one, increase the muscle mass and add lot's of bling. I think we definitely need to customise beards and hair and add some more aquilas, honour tags, chains and lumps of concrete! A concrete medallion - very Orgyn!

ReplyDeleteGood grief... as I said they are very pre-greenstuff. The key is adding enough detailed props now so that the greenstuff tweaks just finish them off.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a cigar, six pack etc - sound er... interesting. Have a relook at the pictures and give me some feedback.
There's already some quite nice characters coming through with the aquila man, ammo man, radio guy and the serg. What would you add?
